Sacred Space for your Dreams:

PART ONE: CLEARING ENERGY

What does “sacred space” mean to you?

It doesn’t have to be in houses of worship. Creating them in your home is a vital step toward a less stressful holiday season.

In this episode, I  discuss how to lean into your own belief systems in order to carve out that space.

I define sacred space so you can discover your path.

As I began to work through my own schedule, my family’s plans, and our travel plans, the idea of creating sacred spaces has been top-of-mind.

As women, we have the tendency to people please. It starts when we are very young. We learn to feel good about ourselves when we make others happy and live up to their expectations. And that sucks away some of our beautiful magic.

In this episode, you will learn how to lean into your own belief systems in order to be able to carve out that space within you, your environment, and other activities:

physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

We can step into our own beliefs and create sacred spaces, events, and rituals in a way that aligns with our personal truth and beliefs whatever they may be.

The word sacred itself is a uniting factor among us. Through sacredness, we can bring our individual experiences into a larger collective, strength, through unity.

Merriam-Webster Definition of Sacred Episode 98 In Her Eyes Podcast

In my personal journey, It's taken me a long time to fully appreciate that my own inner world is sacred too.

The beauty lies in recognizing and valuing both aspects of sacredness.

Your personal truths are going to be slightly different from my personal truths, because of your lived experiences and your relationship to the world around you.

This episode is part one in a multi-part series and we focus on laying the foundation.

We begin by “clearing the air. “

While you may be holding images of someone in long robes waving burning herbs in the air and chanting in some unrecognizable language, there are more accessible methods to clear out negative energy and invite positive vibes in.

  • Beeswax candles
  • Salt lamps
  • And speaking our intentions (prayers) into the space

are a few of the methods that I share in-depth, along with the origins of those practices and a dash of science for you skeptical brainiacs!

But if you are curious about that herb burning I mentioned above (known as smudging), I give you the directives on that as well.

Sometimes we have to pull out the heavy artillery!

Once you get comfortable clearing the negativity, you will begin to feel which method is right for you and the occasion at hand.

As busy women doing all the things, we can get lost in the minutia. If we don't have a sacred space to come to, it makes it that much more difficult.

You have more power than you may realize.

So never ever, my friend, forget about your own power to cleanse and elevate.

I challenge you to find some time this week to clear out some sacred time for yourself on your calendar to think, to dream, to write, to hope, to talk about that thing that you have locked deep inside of you that needs sacred space to be. Encourage the people in your life to create a sacred space for themselves.

Waxing Gibbous

"What else is happening?"

Get ready for an eventful week ahead! On September 29th, a fiery and dynamic full moon in Aries, also a SuperMoon and the 2023 Harvest Moon, encourages us to embrace our independence, although it may make us a bit self-centered. While this full moon doesn't form direct planetary alignments, Mars, its ruler, fuels passion and conflicts with Pluto's ruthless energy. Meanwhile, Mercury's connection with Jupiter and Uranus brings fun and spontaneity, but Venus faces challenges from Uranus, potentially shaking up rocky relationships and sparking desires for more freedom.
