Carving Out Space for You

  Listen On Any Platform

Whether you are trying to achieve a goal, form a healthy habit, create art or build a business that will rock the world you need space.

Defining the physical space will allow you to create the mental space.

It will also help you evaluate the things that come up on the other side of “trying.”

Every single one of us comes up against Resistance.  It is a powerful force that can derail any idea or vision.  The bigger the vision, the more powerfully this force appears.

The best way to fight this nasty monster is to see it clearly.  For exactly what it is.

If you feel like you don’t have the physical space, ask a friend for an objective eye.  One you trust.  (NOT someone who likes to play Devil’s Advocate!  Then you have just invited Resistance into your home in physical form!)

If it is something that is truly important to you, the space will appear.

In this episode, I walk you through the steps to finding and defining the physical space.
Even if (especially if!) you think you don’t have it.

And then I help you come face to face with the RESISTANCE that appears once you move toward the action taking place within your space.

I walk you through the 4 (and a half) questions that you need to ask yourself to make magic happen in your life.

  1. What is physically stopping me from claiming space for _________________?
  2. Do I feel like I deserve space for _____________________?
  3. How much space do I really need to accomplish _______________________?
  4. What does it look like on the other side of me taking action in my dedicated space on a regular basis?  What does it feel like?  What overall effect will it have on my wellbeing and health?

Some of the answers have the power to generate a powerful emotional response.

I also walk you through how to turn those feelings of emotions that come up into words on a page that can be evaluated for clues and can become part of your action plan.

I have included the link below to the book, The War of Art, that I referenced in the episode on moving through resistance.  It is a brilliant manuscript that clarifies this force that feels so unique but shows up for every single one of us that inhabits a physical body.  The author is incredibly blunt and to the point.  Despite the title, it's an enjoyable read!  I found it to be TRANSFORMATIONAL!

"Most of us have 2 lives.
The life we live, and the unlived life within us.
Between the two stands Resistance.

The act of clearing space for YOU provides clues to what is actually holding you back from what you want to create.
